Oceanside, CA – Innovation can come from a flash of insight; from frustration over a vexing business problem; or from input from cus- tomers. Wherever inspiration sparks from, innovation works best when it grabs the collective attention of an industry and moves from the drawing board to the status of best practices. Trade Show Executive is opening up its 2012 Innovation Awards to votes from industry profession- als so that YOU can decide which of the newest ideas are most likely to become standard features or best practices in the coming years. This year's bounty of nominees stretches from robust widgets, wireless applications and web platforms to pricing plans and the latest steps in the greening of convention centers. The list also includes the executives who are leading the march forward. "Innovation has been booming in the trade show industry and who is better than trade show executives in the field when assessing which ideas hold the most promise?," asked Darlene Gudea, president of Trade Show Executive Media Group. "Since the original Innovation Awards debuted in 2003, we have saluted everything from a badge reader that foils counter- feits to a mobile app that tracks service orders and freight." "TSE's Innovation Awards – Readers' Choice broadens the consensus by using input from the entire industry to shine a light on the next generation of cutting-edge innovations coming to the show floor," Gudea said. TSE's Readers' Choice Awards are the highest accolade an innovator can receive because the 'seal of approval' comes from peers and customers rather than tech experts who may be biased or lack experience as a show organizer. Darlene Gudea, PRESIDENT OF TSE MEDIA GROUP Voting is open to all members of the industry but you may vote only once. The polls will be open until August 15. Once the ballots are tallied, the honorees in the major categories of "Tech Initiatives," "Green Initiatives" and "Innovation Leaders" will be announced world- wide on September 3 via TSE' for use on their company web site and marketing collateral. Some of the winners may also be asked to join their colleagues October 3-5 at the TSE Gold 100 Summit & Awards in Washington, DC. "TSE' s Readers' Choice Awards are the highest accolade and en- dorsement an innovator can receive because the 'seal of approval' comes from peers and customers rather than tech experts who may be biased or lack experience as a show organizer," Gudea said. The editors of Trade Show Executive have culled 44 nominees from the submissions. The polls have opened and you can now cast your vote online at www.tradeshowexecutive.com. s E-Clips Breaking News as well as on the TSE website and in the September issue of TSE. Winners will receive a plaque for their office trophy case and a press release that can be presented to their customers along with a logo You Decide Which Entries ARE THE BEST!
