Slightly more than 27 CME hours were offered. Attendance numbers were possibly affected by the fact that the show was held a bit later in the year than usual. (23.0)% For the first time, show management sold sponsorships and advertise- ments on the convention mobile app. Also new was the 20'x20' Health Challenge Pavilion, which was very popular among attendees, and a Wii Gaming Station to promote one of this year's Presidential Programs: combating obesity. To increase exhibit hall traffic, drawings for $100 Visa gift cards were held for attendees who completed a brief survey. There were more than 120 education sessions, numerous networking events and seven exhibit hall hours. The Opening General Session feat- ured a debate between Democratic Strategist James Carville and Republican Strategist Karl Rove. Attendees raised $61,442 for the North Texas Food Bank, and ASAE and American Forests will plant a tree for every person who participated in the meeting.
